This house, known as Stoneolden and located at 60 Fountain Avenue East, is a Contributing Structure. There was an earlier house at the same location that is believed to have been destroyed by fire. This house was designed and constructed by Stanley Matthews. It incorporated part of the older foundation of the earlier house. The house was occupied by Matthews descendants for most of its existence.Source: Comprehensive Survey Report After the current owners bought the house in 2002, it was remodeled and redecorated. The folder contains an article published in Housetrends magazine, February, 2005 describing especially the redecoration but it also contains some historical details.
