The house at 740 Congress Avenue was built c.1913. It is said to be one of the best preserved Craftsman residences in Glendale. The house is thought to have been built by Samuel J. Thompson. The architect was Frederick W. Garber. The folder for this house also contains a newspaper article published in the Cincinnati Enquirer in 2010 when this house was on the Christmas Tour
