Leather Jacket worn by Leigh C. Latta, Chief, Glendale Police Department, 1929 - 1952. From 1927 to 1949 his title was Marshall, it was then changed to Police chief. The jacket is made of horsehide and is quite heavy by today's standards. the badge is not Chief Latta's but one that is very similar. This jacket was donated by Chief Latta's grandson, Don Latta who served as Fire Chief.
