Scope and Content

This house, located at 962 Forest Avenue, was built in 1966 for William Gulick. The builders were Palmer & Stirsman, Inc. The architect was John Normile. The house was built on the backyard property of 95 Sharon Avenue East which at the time was owned by a Mrs. Campbell. The property originally contained a carriage house which was removed in 1965. The structure was 32 feet wide and 28 feet deep. It was replaced by the current garage which is 20 feet wide and 30 feet deep, conforming to code for property setback. The owners were advised that they could keep the structure as it was or tear it down but it could not be renovated. Source: conversation with Bill adnd Dolores Gulick on 7/4/09.
