Scope and Content

This house located at 25 South Lake Avenue is a Contributing Structure. Architecture is of the Italianate style. Similar to the "Downing Cottage" type of the 1850 - 1870s. There was extensive alterations and additions to the house in the 1960s. Although the deed search suggests that the house was not built until 1920, there is some evidence on the Ohio Historic Survey that a portion of the house may have been built as early as 1880.
