This house, a Contributing Structure, was built sometime between 1881 and 1894. It is a part of the James F. Heady Trustees Subdivision. It is also a house in the locally known "Seven Sisters" row of houses along Sharon Avenue.
Information provided by the current owners states that "The original porch on the back of the house was coverted into an enclosed room c. 1930s. The rear carriage house was built in 1917 and moved by the Kloth family to add to their existing carriage house in 1935."
The house has a distinctive stone wall running on the right side of the front porch.
Further notes from the current owner:
The Kloth Family owned 309 E Sharon (land/bank building), 315 E. Sharon (Main and Rear), Anna Kloth House
(325 E. Sharon), and 950 S. Troy (Dog Depot/Barber Shop). Not sure if this is accurate, but I was told that the Kloth family also owned 304 Cleveland Avenue. The entire family lived in Glendale -- 4 generations. Al Nippert moved the historic
"bank" building from 309 E. Sharon to the rear of his property on Albion 12 years ago when Servall built their office building next door.
