This house, a Contributing Structure, was built in 1939 by the Darnall family. Sarah Darnall owned the house prior to 1950 when it was sold to Henry W. Rigby. Said to be one of the finest Colonial Revival houses in Glendale.
Correspondence between a Norwegian television reporter and Mayor Hoop about a Norwegian boy, Erik Sand, who lived with John P. and Sarah Darnall for five years. He died in an air crash during World War II. Correspondence located in the house file.
