Set of documents by Bill James Cook regarding the Springfield Baptist Cemetery . The cemetery was established in the early 1800s. It was originally located in Springfield Township, later Woodlawn, later still Lincoln Heights. In the 1940s most of the congregation lived in Lockland and built a new church there. The old Springdale Baptist Churchyard on Wayne Avenue with its cemetery became known as the old Baptist Burying Grounds.The cemetery remained until the early 1940s when the Valley Homes Housing Project in Lincoln Heights was built over the cemetery.
