Wedding Jacket - Long Tails - Black Satin LiningDescription
A) Gaberdine wool double breasted cut-away with long tails and filled sleeves and wide lapels and black satin lining. Length of jacket 40" at center back. Length of front 23-1/2" from collar to bottom edge of jacket front. There are 6 satin buttons 5/8" in diameter sewn to jacket front, one machine button hole 3-3/8" from button edge of jacket on both center fronts allowing for a thread buttons closure of black satin cover. Shawl collar begins 5" from lower edge of jacket - widest point is 4". Set in filled sleeves with double seams. Outside seam length is 22-1/2" A fake vent at outer lower edge of sleeve has 2 small 3/8" covered buttons. The sleeve lining is a satin twill. Inside pockets on both sides of front bodice diagonally out of arms-eye to jacket edge of lining. The tails are 20" in length. Center back seam 19-1/2" long with a 2" vent which is 20-1/2" in length. Condition of seams that are 2-1/2" from center back at waistline is a shaped seam dart that has two 5/8" covered buttons. 2 under panels from seam dart towards side seam area about 5" long a length of about 9" which allows for the fitting of the jacket at side seam area. Condition excellent. Collar has machine stitching at back of jacket for shaping collar.
B) Vest for wedding suit. Black brocade satin striped long Vee neckline with 4 buttons and button holes on lower front and flat lapels on both sides. Length of back which is satin striped is 19" and length of front 25-1/2" down each lapel and buttoned section. Beige muslin lining. One diagonal pocket on left side between lower lapel and side seam.
C) Black wool wedding pants button fly and buttons for suspenders and twill braid down outside seams of pants. Braid is 3/4" in width and length is 42-1/2". Waistband has 2 button holes on extension of waist and band itself is 47". Enclosed button holes machine stitched, on center 12" front fly and there is a satin twill interfacing at waistband and the width is 5-1/2". There are 5 pockets cotton twill lined and of those 2 back pockets are side seam and one coin pocket on right front. 6 buttons for suspenders attached at top of pant. There is no waistband. Hem of pant leg is 2" - Condition: good.General Notes
