Short Fitted Black Beaded Bodice

Description

Short fitted black beaded bodice jewel neckline, no collar; center front opening - 8 large hook and eyes. Tailored sleeve with self turn back cuff 1-3/4" outside edge has cuff coming to a point rather than full round cuff; cuff points are sewn down.Inner jacket is lined glazed cotton with 7 stays. Under lining is finished with hook and eyes while outer beaded jacket lies open showing under jacket. Back hem jacket has a point at center back; construction: front taffeta panels have one deep pleat from shoulder to hem. Center back seam, two darts right side of center back; under arm panel on jacket back arms-eye is a deep curve, almost squaring off jacket front is multi-sized faceted black beads that outline center front both sides 1/2" wide approximately 4" below shoulder line begins a decorative bead work that follows around the back of neck to 4" below shoulder line on other front: beading is 6" long in a slender triangle shape that starts off on front at a diagonal slant from bottom of jacket; at back of jacket the triangle is pointed down to bottom of hem there are 15 triangles: 1-1/4" self belt finishes the hem; two inverted pleats circle jacket - two tear drops point down formed in beads with (thread) spoke center - 11 strings of dangles from each tear; double tears from decorative close on belt on left side of center; bead work has Spanish influence.
