The tower was built in the 1940s due to the increased personnel at NAS. The water tower was torn down in 1955.
Alan and Kathleen Fuller lived at 2356 Dewes St. The house was demolished in 2020 after Kathleen's death in 2019. Their daughter, Joan, donated these photographs and noted that the water tower was a "huge presence" in her childhood.
