Light Blue Colored Silk Bodice with High Collar and Large Sleeves

Description

Dress bodice: pale sea-green silk taffeta overlaid with organdy panels are in stripes of very, very pale sea-green and greenish-white; Design: 3" stand-up collar; 2-1/8" teal blue braids separated by small pearls. Belled raglan sleeve with 2 rows of shirring 1/2" apart with braid extends from neckline down 13.5" sleeve (approximately elbow length) ; self organdy horizontal band at end of shirring; band has French knots every 1/2". Bottom half of sleeve had perpendicular stripes thus reversing the (organdy) fabric. Sleeve ends with large 6" ruffle; elasticized cuff; both front and back of sleeve cuff is tacked-up to wrist. Construction: hand sewn - 3 hooks and eye on collar; front close has 11 large horseshoe shape embroidered satin stitch trim in teal and ecru down center front.
