-War Department Post Card addressed to August Rugen. Says, "Raymon Charles Rugen has been accepted for active military service (Army) and he is en route to Camp Grant, Illinois reception center where he will remain for a short time and then be sent to another station. As he will be in transit for the next few days, it will be difficult for mail to reach him. It is therefore requested that not attempt be made to communicate with him except in an emergency until you receive further advice as to the address to which mail for should be sent."
-Small paper titled Interview with Mrs. Raymond Rugen 7/14/94 - "Original Rugen house located just inside South Gate of GNAs. Commander's house is the entire house - was moved in 1942 in 2 parts & reconstructed differently from original (which was a duplex). One duplex occupied by Ry Rugin's family: Parents, Ray, Myrtle -school principle, Norman, Erwin, Vernon, Howard. Other side Uncle Bill and large family." page 2 - "Ray, Erwin, Howie, Vernon drafted same day as go eviction notice. Navy (takes ?) property."  Continues on with other memories.
