Cream Color Full Length Dress - Slip Net and Satin, Silk Taffeta BowDescription
A) Wedding Dress: Cream color, originally white; full length, silk and netting. Bodice: Lined in silk with an overlay of netting; Silk bodice has square neckline with 1-1/4" width rose embroidered satin ribbon strap. Net overlay blouse is sleeveless with 1/2" width lace trim, scoop neckline with 1/2" width lace edging net overblouse has one tack at center front which makes a small tuck, side closure of 4 small snaps; applied is decorative small ribbon roses in a circle placement. Design is 3 circles forming one large circle outer circumference; same design front and back; larger circle in front; net blouse attaches to silk under blouse and skirt at waistline. 3/4 length sleeves of net has 3 rows of 1" ruffles at sleeve end. Skirt is gathered at waist. 9" below waist is 1-1/2" open work lace band; additional 9" from above band is second lace band of 1-1/4" width; next follows 3 rows of ruffles 3-1/4" width which make up the hem. Wide cummerbund of 4, 1" tucks; back closed with 7 snaps.
B) Ecru net wedding slip with satin trim - Style: Yoke top that is gathered to 1/4" waistband of cotton muslin; Drawstring front tie; Yoke is 4-1/4" length - Skirt length: 34"; Yoke is lightweight cream colored satin; Attached at yoke is outer layer netting; underlayer is same satin as yoke; The net overlay is 14" long with a scalloped edge of satin trim. Sewn to satin underskirt is a 5" satin ribbon which is 11" from yoke bottom edge; ribbon circles the skirt and hides the additional sewn on netting that is attached to original satin underskirt: Outer netting is trimmed with satin edge in a scalloped or wavy style. Satin slip has a 1" satin ribbon on at hem to help weight slip; under hem is machine stitched 1/4" rolled hem; 17 satin ribbon streamers hand loose from top of lower netting under the 5" width ribbon; 2" from end of ribbon is twisted ribbon rosette of pink or pale blue; alternate every other one pink: ribbon tail is cut diagonally across.
C) Lady's cream colored silk taffeta bow - 8" wide on a 1-1/2" waistband that is 20" long - ends of bow are fringed with 2-1/2" silk fringe - bow is tied so that it could be a bustle effect (?).
