Description

Ladies over blouse (1890) sheer cotton gauze which is cream color today originally white; Center front close at waistline one hook and eye with additional hook and eye 1" off center front also on waistline; Gathered waistline with 3-1/2" peplum has 1/8" self hand stitch self hem; Design: shawl collar with netting ruffle trim; Decorative crouching of patterned vining with 3 looped stylized flower; Ruffle edge is decorated with looped ropes 1/2" apart repeats; Double shoulder line (front and back drop shoulder-line) created by open crochet zig zag, also outlines armseye too. 3/4" length sleeve, belled, 1/2" from sleeve hem is rope pattern outlining edge; Outer edge of sleeve has 2 stylized flowers at center, below flowers are the vine/leaf pattern paralleling sleeve belled edge; Decorative design is hand made with thick cotton white thread.
