Description

Mr. Perdue's Wedding Suit: A) Pair fine herringbone stripe trousers with 6 buttons on outside of belt for suspenders, two side slash pockets and 2 side pockets - bottom hem is a curved line - trousers are 36" long at inseam - several holes in trousers from burns or moths. B) Black frock coat with satin covered buttons down front and on sleeves - neck with 5 satin buttons and two buttons on back of coat. C) Sleeveless black wedding vest - wool - double notched flat collar 5-1/2" black satin covered metal buttons; 4 slash pockets on slant lower at center front; top slash pocket 4-1/8" long with 7/8" wide; lower slash pocket is 4-3/4" long with 7/8" wide. Center back seam 19-5/8" long. Black satin twill back 8-1/2" wide 8-1/2" self tab belt for lower back has black metal buckle 3/4" x 1" with decorative bar on buckle - 2 curved teeth. The black satin back at collar - 2-3/4" either side of center back in attached to the upper side of vest collar which helps to hold the flat collar down. Lining - cotton - white at one time - now beige. Inside pocket on right front/slash. Dimension 5-1/2" x 7-8" machine stitched.
