High Stand-Up Collar with Overall Embroidered Appliqué White Dress with TrainDescription
White cotton - stand-up collar princess lined fitted bodice with decorative lace cummerbund, 'A' line skirt with additional slight bustle effect. Short cap sleeve and under sleeve long wrist length with horizontal tucks every 3/8 of one inch. Bodice: stand-up collar with open lace 3" in height originally there were 2 stays. At top of stand-up collar edge is applied machine embroidered appliquéd stylized lotus flower and small vining pansy. The same machine embroidered appliqué outlines the netting and is attached to the bodice batiste. The appliqué is also applied at shoulder line. One lotus flower in the front and an additional one at the back. There is a seam dart beginning at middle of arms-eye and curves down to cummerbund. the front panel section of embroidered lace is 5" wide at cummerbund. There are 3 half inch tucks vertically on either side of lace appliqué. Lace appliqué continues on at center front with a lotus flower on cummerbund at center front and continues around cummerbund with 3 lotus flowers on front and 4 on the back of cummerbund.
Sleeves - there are 2 sleeves - outer sleeve is short. The cap sleeve is 6-1/2" from shoulder line to edge of sleeve - underarm sleeve is slightly forward and is 2" in length. There are 6 tucks of 1/2" in width machine stitched - 3 to the front of sleeve and 3 on back. Applied at top of sleeve machine embroidered strip of 1-5/8" wide and has 6 petals of a flower and machine stitched knot. Edge of cap sleeve has a flag machine embroidered appliquéd with 3 lotus flowers. One is a large lotus flower and is at center of cap sleeve edge. Second sleeve - under sleeve - is 22" long of open netting of horizontal tucks (39). Rolled sleeve edge machine stitched applied embroidered lotus appliqué decoration. Large one at front 3" X 2-1/2" and small one at back of sleeve edge. Waistline is 26". Skirt - circumference at hemline 164". Skirt has machine embroidered satin stitched 5 petal stylized flowers which are 1-3/4" in diameter at random over top half of skirt. 18" from hemline begins large machine embroidered petal flowers - dimension is 7" X 7" - and vining. At center front the machine embroidered flowers have eyelet cutout center. The flowers repeat on each hip which is 17" from center front. Just above hemline are clusters of multi-sized balls in the shape of a peak. Hem is 3-1/2" in depth. Lower edge is weighted with 5/8" wide ribbon attached underneath outer hem. It is a 6 gored skirt. Length of skirt at center front is 39-1/2" from waistline and is 42-1/2 at center back. Center back closed with 8 hooks and eyes on netting portion of collar section. On bodice fabric there are 5 buttons 1/4" pearl buttons. At cummerbund there are 3 hooks and eyes. At placket close at center back there are 6 hooks and eyes and are concealed with a lace 1" width on top edge of placket on both sides of back opening. This lace insert repeats 6 times on skirt 3" apart. Between the lace inserts there are 5 minute tucks 3-3/4" long.
