Owned by Miss Seba Polk of Mt. Vernon, IL and of Glenview, IL. She learned to sew after she was 75 years old and died at 90. The machine was manufactured by the Wheeler & Wilson Mfg. Co. of Bridgeport, Conn. The Singer Company bought this company out over 100 years ago (that is, before 1873). Patents on machine: D-9, 3-25-90, 8-2-92, No. 3001609, and others.
