Sideboard 1875Description
40" Tall sideboard with shelf 12" down from top 10" deep - sideboard is 45" wide with main part containing 4 drawers 20" wide and 5" deep - one other long drawer 43" wide and 5" deep.
The mirror is between the top shelf and he drawers measuring 33-1/2" x 16" - above the flat section covered with brownish marble. There are on each side of the mirror two shelves 9-1/2" x 8-12" held up by circular type pegs - handles on drawers are fancy brass. Knapp joinery. Dates 1875 circa.General Notes
Note
This is possibly the sideboard mentioned in the 1987 GHS newsletter as acquired by Curator Jan Harman at an antique show. Described as an East Lake sideboard from the Civil War period.
