Description

The book is a light brown or tan colour. The title of the book is in a rectangular black box which consists of two lines. The writing is in black ink. There is some type of colourant or crayon written in below each word of the title, as if underlining the words, and is a pink/red colour. The top of the front cover reads "Musson's Concise English Dictionary" followed by "Containing Definitions of Over Twenty-Three Thousand Words, With Many Illustrations" and at the very bottom of the front cover "For Home and School". The spine of the book reads "Musson's Concise English Dictionary" The reverse of the book has no words, or design.

Context

Book from 1939. Book belonged to Georgina McCrea who was the donor's (Ed Garland) wife. Lived on Franktown Road and attended SS #4 on Franktown West of Dwyer Hill.
