The book is a dark brown colour with areas of white due to wear. The writing on the book is in black ink, although it has faded considerably to almost a dark brown colour. The book has two lines travelling horizontally at the bottom and the top of the front cover. One line is thicker than the other. At the top of the front cover the book reads "Ontario HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH COMPOSITION" followed by the Ontario crest in the centre, and the words "Authourized by the Minister of Education for Ontario" and then written in pencil below it "18,000". Near the bottom of the book it reads "Price 18 Cents, Toronto The Copp Clark Company Limited." The spine of the book reads "Ontario High School Composition" The reverse of the book or back cover is simply dark brown with no words or designs.Context
