Description

One printed colour greeting card with the message, "Most folks admit that I am wise; Of course I am - that's no surprise. The very fact that I chose YOU, Alone will prove that saying true." The card is decorated with an owl wearing a jacket, waistcoat, bow tie and top hat. The owl is constructed in such a way that the head can move back and forth, pivoting on a metal brad. On the reverse of the card, written in black ink is the message, "To Teacher from Gerald & Miriam."

Context

Valentine card given to Mary Gamble when she was a school teacher in Alberta.
