Description

The object is a wooden sign made of plywood with paint on the front and annotated writing on the back. The sign is from the Women's Institute of Stittsville. The front of the sign has black and yellow painted text with a white background. The main text title (Women's Institute) of the group and local area (Stittsville) are located around a blue and yellow graphic logo with text (For Home and Country). The back of the sign has two instances of handwritten black annotations. The first handwritten annotation is located in the proper left top corner stating: 1908 - 1993 85 years. The second handwritten annotation is located adjacent to the proper right bottom corner stating: 1908 - 1993. The plywood wood grain layer on the back is visible and brown in colour.
