This camera was made by the Canadian Kodak Company Limited between 1924 and 1933. This Kodak camera was known as the “No. 2A Brownie” and is a metal frame box style camera that used a roll of number 116 film to capture images. The Brownie camera was an iconic object that helped popularize amateur photography and the “snapshot.” The Brownie’s affordable price and compact design, along with the affordability of Kodak’s rolled film and processing, allowed families to take a camera along on their adventures and capture candid “Kodak” moments.Lexicon
