Description

One brown coloured Roger's Majestic table radio, c. 1949 - 1950. The outside of the radio is made of a brown coloured plastic with two gold-yellow coloured plastic dials. The radio has an intact two-prong electrical plug and cord which attaches to the device in the back. The front of the radio has a repeating geometric rectangular pattern on the proper right half. The proper left has a vertical rectangle, inset with a square design displaying radio frequencies displayed in numerals from 50 on the proper right side to 150 on the proper left. A gold coloured plastic dial in the shape of a circle with a triangle in the centre is used to point to the radio frequency numbers. The name Rogers Majestic is engraved below the frequency dial on the front of the radio. The reverse of the radio is open with a rounded rectangle shaped cardboard backing attached to the back of the radio with two slot screws. Manufacturer labels are adhered to the carboard back, from proper right to left they record the following information: Electric Unit. Union Made.
