The front of the postcard is largely silver, with 'Best Wishes for Christmas' in raised type. On the left there is a black lantern, shining a halo of light. Within the light is Santa with two young children decorating a Christmas tree. On the back there are two cancellation stamps, one from Jock Vale dated December 21, 1908 and one from Richmond dated December 22, 1908. There is a postage stamp commemorating 3rd Centennial of Quebec, with portraits of Cartier and Champlain. It is addressed to 'Miss Myrtle Davis, Stapledon Ont.' The message reads, "Hello Myrtle, I got your card a few days ago and I send you many thanks. Be sure and come down this winter. Our Xmas tree is the 21st. Yours as B4 Sadie B."Lexicon
