On the front there is a coloured image of the Parliament buildings, mainly of the library, over the Ottawa river. There is also a glimpse of the locks including the Commissariat. Some small buildings can be seen along the banks of the Ottawa river, as well as some signs of Ottawa's timber industry. On the back there are two cancellation stamps, one from Richmond dated March 12, 1908 with another stamp from Stapleton overtop bearing the same date. There is another cancellation stamp dated March 11, 1908, but the town name is unclear. There is a green George V one cent postage stamp, upside down. It is addressed to Miss Myrtle Davis, Stapleton Ont. The message reads: Hello Myrtle, How are you all down there we are all well here well it was sad about Bernice she will be missed around here we will miss her alas they are a lonely family. Well Myrtle spring is here again I am glad. From Sadie. Excuse this scribbling as I am sleepy it is bed time. Answer soon.
