One post card with the studio portrait of Sefton Stewart featured on the image side. The paper card has one side printed with a Post Card template. The top of the card is labelled, "POST CARD," the far left side has text that is oriented vertically along the left edge of the card that reads, "SAVOY STUDIO, 107A, STRAND, W.C.," the left side of the card is labelled with the title, "CORRESPONDENCE" and the right side of the card is labelled, "FOR ADDRESS' ONLY." A handwritten inscription is added to the card which reads, "SEFTON INGLIS STEWART." The card was not used, does not include an addressed message or a postage stamp. The image side of the post card has a studio portrait of Sefton Stewart who is standing and posed to face the camera straight on. Sefton is wearing a military uniform that includes a headdress composed of a balmoral and hat badge on his head, a wool jacket with a high buttoned collar, collar badges on either side of the collar closure, two large breast pockets, a leather belt around the natural waste and circular metal button closures. The military jacket is tailored with a cut out to accommodate the sporran element of the highland military uniform. Sefton is wearing a kilt made with a solid coloured fabric that is knee length. On top of the kilt is a dark coloured leather sporran positioned central to the body below the jacket. Sefton is wearing kilt hose with flashes on his legs and an oxford style polished dress shoe on his feet. Sefton is holding what appears to be a "swagger stick" behind his back with one hand at either end of the stick. Sefton Stewart was a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force and served during the First World War from 1916-1918. Sefton was a resident of Richmond, Ontario.Context
