Description

This object is a boater style hat. It is made from a white colored synthetic straw. There is a glossy red fabric ribbon wrapped around the base of the crown which serves as a band. The words "SOUTH CARLETON H.S." appear in a silver font at the front of the band, rendered in all capitals.

Context

This object is significant as it relates to South Carleton Highschool, a school in Richmond. It was owned by a resident of Goulbourn.
