Description

The front of the postcard is an image of a young boy, with a pipe in his mouth and a cheeky grin. Underneath is written, "An Up-to-date Sport." The back of the postcard is divided into two sections. The left side has a green George V one-cent stamp. It is marked with a cancellation stamp, one from Winnipeg and one from Richmond. The address is written underneath, "Mr John Dav[is] Stapleton ON." The last two letters of his last name have been torn off, but referencing other postcards in this collection mention a John Davis. The left side marked, "Correspondence" reads, "Dear John, This is Louie Colbert who is sending you this card she is a nice little girl I am sure she would like to play with you send her card as soon as you get this. Love Colbert 334 Nairn" There is another word written below that is largely been worn off but starts with a W, perhaps referring to Winnipeg (as supported by the cancellation stamp).
