Dear Mother,
Having an opportunity of writing thought I would drop a few lines to let you know everything is going O.K. Had word from Crystal about the same time as I got your last letter which was Apr 4th, we are expecting a Can. mail in any day now.
In one of your letters you stated that a Mr. Ramsay had visited you people + was asking for me, have been wondering since what Ramsay that might be, got a field card from Hugh the other day, but as you know, the sender (2) can’t give his add. on a field card, so it leaves me unable to write, will very likely get word from him in the near future.
Suppose you people are now enjoying nice spring weather as for ourselves we can’t complain, the last few days being ideal weather for the time of year. Have been wondering lately if C. Dobson has arrived home yet, he sure is a lucky guy. Think I told you of having word from N. Mills, answered his letter the other day, told him I considered that branch of service about as good as any. Heard G. Gilworth is now in the Flying Corp. is that right? there can’t be a great many young fellows around home now, that was too bad about C. Sinclair getting killed in a [spelling error: an] accident, after going through unwounded so long in France.
In reference to that money mother I haven’t been notified through the bank yet, did you give them my add? at any rate the passes are not opened up yet. Will write soon again.
With Love To All,
Sefton.Transcriber
