Dear Clystal: -
Just a few lines to let you know we are all well hoping you are the same, the last week we have travelling I think almost all over France but are now close to our destination.
This morning I got a letter from mother, together with a few snaps, which were really fine. George on the binder in the six acres, + Ivy + Norma with the little kittens, which is so very plain + natural.

The weather lately has been very wet, raining almost every last in the last week. Those parcels you + mother sent were certainly good, getting them all quite close together and being on the move, I put yours on the field kitchen. I am sure it most of went 150 miles, + when opening it, the cake was very little broken up. I got that parcel of candy + fair socks quite a while ago, intended writing that girl, but being so busy lost her address, you know you can’t write whenever thinking of it. wish you

thank her for her kindness. I suppose you were at home for the fair how did it come off? had they good weather for the night performances? Say didn’t George do fine with the horses was very to get the news as I was wondering how he would get along, they seem to be getting first on everything around the place. Heard that 207th was to be reorganized but it can’t be true.
The mud around here reminds us of Rich, [abbreviated: Richmond] but is a great deal worse. Will write soon again being in a hurry at present. Best Love
