Description

This object is an abstract of title documenting historic land ownership and use for a parcel of land designated "E1/2 of W1/2, Lot 5, Concession 9". It is dated February 21, 1900. The dates covered range from 1884-1900. The support is a cream colored piece of paper. The medium is a black printed ink. A red ink has been used for administrative purposes. There is a table on the front; the vertical lines are rendered in a red ink and the horizontal lines of the table are rendered in a faint blue ink. The table has been filled in with a black handwritten ink rendered in cursive. Directly above the table is a horizontal red line comprised of two smaller parallel red lines. The words "ONTARIO, REGISTRY OFFICE, COUNTY OF CARELTON. ABSTRACT OF TITLE" appear the top center of the front in a larger black font, all in capital letters. The title page appears on the back as this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage.
