This object is an indenture for a mortgage between William Irwin and Margaret C. Wyld. It is dated to April 10, 1893. It concerns a parcel of land designated W1/2 Lot 15 Concession 12. The support is a cream colored piece of paper. The mediums are a black and red printed ink. Fields have been filled in by hand with a black handwritten ink. There are handwritten inscription rendered in black ink, blue pencil, and an unknown blue medium located at the top proper right corner of the front; there are a significant number of inscriptions located in this area.
The title page appears on the front proper top right quadrant, perpendicular to the primary text, as this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage. All the remaining text on the proper right half of the front is also perpendicular to the primary text body. There are two blue rubber stamp imprints consisting of seven lines of script located at the top proper right corner of the front; these have been filled in with a handwritten black ink. The words "This Indenture" appear at the center of the front of the proper left page in a large decorative script. On the front proper left half there are three vertical lines which are comprised of thin parallel red lines; these extend the length of the page. The proper right most vertical red line, near the center of the page, is comprised of four smaller lines, the middle vertical line is comprised of three smaller lines, and the line located at the proper leftmost is comprised of three smaller red lines. There are also two horizontal red lines which are made of smaller red lines that run the length of the proper left half of the front. The topmost line is comprised of four smaller lines and located at the top, the lower horizontal line at the bottom is comprised of three horizontal lines.
There are three red seals located in the proper bottom right corner of the back. They resemble cogs with pointed teeth and are arranged in a vertical alignment. On the back of the page there are five vertical and two horizontal red lines; the horizontal lines extend across the entire width of the page. The vertical line at the far proper left and the vertical line on the far left of the proper right page are comprised of four smaller lines. The remainder of the vertical lines are comprised of three lines. There are three vertical lines on the proper left half of the back and three on the proper right half. The horizontal red line located at the top of the back is comprised of four smaller lines, the lower horizontal line at the bottom is comprised of three horizontal lines.Collection
