Description

This object is an indenture between Charles Hartin and Albert F. Faulkner. It is dated May 1, 1905. It concerns a $1000 payment for a plot of land designated Lot 15 Concession 12. The support is a cream colored piece of paper. The medium is a black printed ink. Fields have been filled in by hand with a handwritten black ink, rendered in cursive. Red ink has been used for border elements. A rubber stamp imprint is rendered in blue ink. All of the text on the proper right half of the front is perpendicular to the primary body of text. The title page appears on the proper right side of the front perpendicular to the primary text as this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage. There is a blue rubber stamp print comprised of seven lines of text located at the proper top right of the front; the fields have been filled in with a black handwritten ink. The words "This Indenture" are rendered in a large decorative script, in a printed black ink, at the top center of the proper left half of the front. There are two horizontal red lines which span the entire width of the front at the top and bottom; the top horizontal red line is comprised of four parallel red lines, the bottom horizontal red line is comprised of three parallel red lines. There are three vertical red lines which run the length of the proper left front page. The proper rightmost vertical line is comprised of four parallel lines; the other two vertical lines are comprised of three parallel red lines. There are two red seals which present as red circles located on the proper bottom right corner of the back. There are two horizontal red lines which span the entire width of the back at the top and bottom; the top horizontal red line is comprised of four parallel red lines, the bottom horizontal red line is comprised of three parallel red lines. There are a total of six vertical lines which run the length of the page on the back, three on each half. The leftmost vertical line on the proper left half is comprised of four parallel lines; the other two red vertical lines on the proper left half are comprised of three parallel lines. The leftmost line on the proper right half is comprised of four parallel lines; the other two red vertical lines on the proper right half are comprised of three parallel lines.
