Description

One wooden component of a wooden cheese rake. Head is preserved without the handle. The wooden take head is composed of a horizontal wooden board with four vertical paddles affixed to the bottom edge with equal space between the central paddles. Each of the paddles have circular openings removed from the centre of each piece of wood. The object was used to rake cheese curds during the heating, washing, and draining process of cheese making and was originally used at the Franktown Road cheese factory in Goulbourn Township.
