This object is a land deed situate between Sarah A. B. and Allan Scharf. It is dated July 23, 1900. It concerns a payment of $300 for a parcel of land designated E1/2 Lot 15 Concession 12. The support is a cream colored piece of paper. The medium is a black printed ink. Red ink has been used to create borders. The fields have been filled in with a black handwritten ink ,rendered in cursive. A rubber stamp imprint is rendered in blue ink.
All the text on the proper right half of the front is perpendicular to the primary body of text. This includes the title page appears perpendicular to the primary text as this object was intended to be folded into a brochure form for transport and storage. There is a blue rubber stamp imprint on the proper top right quadrant of the front consisting of seven lines of script; the fields of the stamp have been filled in with a handwritten black ink, rendered in cursive. The words "This Indenture" appear the the top center of the proper left half of the front in a large, decorative script, rendered in a black printed ink. There are two horizontal red lines which span the entire width of the front at the top and bottom; the top horizontal red line is comprised of three parallel red lines, the bottom horizontal red line is comprised of two parallel red lines. There are three vertical red lines which run the length of the proper left front page. The proper rightmost vertical line is comprised of three parallel lines; the other two vertical lines are comprised of two parallel red lines.
There are two red seals at the proper bottom right corner of the back in a vertical arrangement; they appear as cogs with pointed teeth. There are two horizontal red lines which span the entire width of the back at the top and bottom. The top horizontal red line is comprised of three parallel red lines. The bottom horizontal red line is comprised of two parallel red lines. There are a total of six vertical lines which run the length of the page on the back, three on each half. The leftmost vertical line on the proper left half is comprised of three parallel lines; the other two red vertical lines on the proper left half are comprised of two parallel lines. The leftmost line on the proper right half is comprised of three parallel lines; the other two red vertical lines on the proper right half are comprised of two parallel lines.Collection
