This object is an abstract of title listing land ownership for a parcel designated W1/2 Lot 15 Concession 12. The dates range from 1892 to 1900. Although the document is dated 1896, an inscription reads "Supplemented and recertified to this 31st day of October AD 1900". Legible surnames which appear include: Brown, Wyld, Hartin and Irwin. The support is a rectangular piece of cream colored paper. The medium is a black printed ink. Red and blue ink have been used to create a table on the front. Black, brown, and red inks have been used to fill in the fields by hand, rendered in cursive.
The top of the table on the front is rendered with a horizontal red line composed of two parallel red lines; below this is another red horizontal line. The title columns appear bracketed vertically by these two lines. Single red lines are also used for the vertical lines of the table. The horizontal lines of table itself are rendered in a very faded blue ink. The words "ONTARIO" "REGISTRY OFFICE, COUNTY OF CARLETON." "ABSTRACT OF TITLE" appear in a vertical arrangement at the top center of front, rendered in a black printed ink and a larger font; the letters are rendered in all capitals.
The title appears on the back in a smaller section as this object as intended to be folded into a brochure shape for transport and storage. The title page has not been filled in.Collection
