Description

This object is an indenture between Charles Hartin and William Irwin. It is dated October 27, 1900. It concerns a parcel of land designated W1/2 Lot 15 Concession 12. The support is a rectangular piece of cream colored paper lined paper. The medium is handwritten black ink, rendered in cursive. Blue ink has been used to create the lines on the paper. There is an inscription on the front top right quadrant rendered in pencil that is significantly faded; an additional inscription on the top right quadrant of the front appears to depict a mathematic equation. The text block occupies only the proper left side of the front. The text block begins with the phrase "This Indenture" however it is the same size and script as the rest of the document. There are two seals located on the proper bottom left corner of the front in a vertical arrangement. Both seals appear as a red cog with pointed teeth however they are not uniform. The top seal is slightly larger and has a piece of paper affixed to it. The bottom seal is somewhat smaller and is missing a small portion of its proper right side. The back of this object, when unfolded, is blank aside from the horizontal blue lines.
