This object is an envelope made of a tan paper which has been folded into shape. It is held together with an unknown adhesive. The front bears a handwritten inscription at the center, rendered in a black medium which reads "Mrs. James Stewart, Richmond, Ontario, Canada". Another handwritten inscription on the front in the same medium appears at the proper top left corner and reads "C.A.A.F". There are four lines of printed script in a black ink at the proper top right corner of the front, one line at the proper bottom right corner, and one at the top center. There is a rubber stamp imprint rendered in black ink at the proper top left corner of the front; this presents as a circle with text inside which reads "POST OFFICE" with the remainder of the imprint being illegible. On the back there is a handwritten inscription rendered in a black medium which has been damaged along with the top of the envelope, it reads in part "4[illegible]347" which is underlined with a lightning bolt shaped line. A rubber stamp imprint rendered in black ink appears at the bottom center with a slight proper-left bias. This stamp presents as a circle with text inside which mostly is illegible; the stamp is oriented upside-down in relation to the envelope.Subject Person/Organization
