Somewhere In France. Dec. 12/16 Dear Mother: Have rec'd more parcels got my sweater coat at last thought I wasn't getting it. it sure is a fine sweater, also got the parcel the council sent it was certainly a very nice parcel, especially the gloves which I just needed. Wrote George yesterday told him the most of the news, this is the pad the council sent. I don't know how many parcels I have got the last few days the worst, of it is they are coming all at once. We have had a very good time lately, being billeted in a little town. The weather has been very disagreeable the last week or so, today we had a fall of snow. The flakes were like snow balls but it didn't last long, making it very muddy. Have had no more word from Earl lattely [spelling error: lately], but expect he is doing fine, Ervie + Sid are fine, Sid is thin but is having very good health. Will write soon again. Wishing you a Merry Xmas And Happy New Year Sefton. PS. In my other letters I forgot it was Christmas times.
