Description

This metal plaque is rectangular shaped and records the dates and names of those involved in the erection of the Goulbourn Municipal Building in 1975. The plaque is framed in a silver coloured metal with a dark brown coloured background. In raised silver coloured font the plaque says, "Township of Goulbourn Municipal Building erected 1975. Mayor - Mrs. Betty Hill. Councillors - Archie Bell, Gilmour Brown, Dewar Burnett, Robert Cuningham, Ihor Nakonecznyj, Robert Slack, Malcolm Storey, and Sterling Warner. Project Manager & Engineer R.M. Kostuch Associates LTD. General Contractor M.P. Lundy Construction Limited." In a smaller font size reads the following, "This municipal building was constructed with the assistance of the federal-provincial winter capital projects fund and was officially opened on September 13th, 1975." The original item is currently attached to the wall of the Goulbourn Town Hall building.
