Description

Memorial plaque consisting of a monochrome drawing of a dove flying above a monument; the drawing is surrounded by a border decorated with a floral motif. Drawing is contained within a silver-painted, wood and plaster frame that contains an inscription reading "In Loving Remembrance of our Dear One Mrs. Charles Simpson, Died June, 1901, Aged 69 years." A dedication is also inscribed; it reads: "We loved her, yes, we loved her, But Jesus loved her more, And He has sweetly called her, To yonder shining shore. The Golden Gates were opened, A gentle voice said 'Come!' And with farewells unspoken, She calmly entered home."
