Description

Richmond Red Cross minutes, membership list, and treasurer records. Notebook is comprised of a red patterned cardboard front and back cover with blue fabric material as the spine. There is a notation on the inside front cover which reads, "Donated by Estate of Evyleen May Reid (nee Stewart) who was the Secretary / Treasurer of the Red Cross, Richmond (Organized October 1939)" The book contained lined pages with handwritten text. The book begins with an account of the "Organization of Red Cross 1939." Following entries are minutes from executive meetings of the Red Cross, public meetings of the Red Cross, Red Cross Euchre, sewing meetings, and annual meeting. The back of the notebook includes Red Cross membership lists and donations for 1940-1941, financial accounting of the organization, and membership and donations for 1939-1940.
