Description

Ledger with red paper cover. The back cover contains a single line border and black text. The front cover contains three boxes filled with text printed in black capital letters. Text in the first box reads: "With the compliments of the Bank of Ottawa, Richmond, Ont." The second box provides the title, "The Farmers' Handy Account Book," and the third box provides a description of the publication: "Embracing in convenient form a diary, cash book, and a simple and systematic arrangement in tabulated pages of the various products; in which can be entered daily the receipts and expenditure and the general business of the farm." Two lines of small text printed at the bottom of the front cover outline the details of the publication: "Entered according to Act of the Parliament of Canada in the year one thousand, nine hundred and four, by James H. Nicholas of Toronto, at the Department of Agriculture." Published by F.W. Thompson, Publisher and Proprietor, Toronto.
