Description

War savings pledge. Pledge consists of a piece of red paper with a maple leaf in the centre. A circle with a thumbs-up sign in the centre and "War Saver" written at the bottom, appears at the top of the maple leaf. Text below reads: "WE ARE SAVING FOR VICTORY. The War Savings Committee hereby officially acknowledges the Pledge made by this Household to become Regular War Savers and to do their share towards Victory by Saving and lending to Canada, to the utmost of their ability for the duration of the War." Pledge is signed by the chairmen of the Committee. The reverse is white with blue text and a blue border. The hole punched at the top suggests the pledge was intended to be hung.
