This object is a crown patent to Simon Kerrison. It concerns 100 acres of land in a parcel designated as E1/2 Lot 17, Concession 6. It is dated to March 23, 1824. The support is a rectangular piece of paper. The medium is a black printed ink. The fields have been filled in by hand with a black handwritten ink, rendered in cursive. The words "PROVINCE OF UPPER-CANADA" is located at the top center of the front in a larger printed font, in all capital letters.
There is an inscription on the back located to the proper left of the center; the text is perpendicular to the body of text on the front. It is badly stained and faded.Context
