Darkened metal with round circular top, glass lighting fixture and rounded base tapered outwards. There is a wax candle present.

Context

These lanterns were often used by skaters mark their belongings on shore to to light their way while skating. This lantern has been in Mrs. Thomas' family for most of her life.
