Description

This object is a crown patent to Henry McDonald. It is dated March 23, 1824. It concerns a parcel of land designated W1/2 Lot 28 Concession 9. The support is a cream paper which has darkened to a tan color. The medium is a printed black ink. The fields have been filled in with a handwritten brown ink, rendered in cursive There is a fabric loop of string at the bottom center which passes through the support, to which a small square shaped piece of brown wax is affixed. The words "POVINCE OF UPPER-CANADA." appear at the top center of the front, in a larger printed black font, in all capital letters. There is a period after the word "CANADA"
