Description

Five circular tokens that are blue in colour. Each token has a center hole. There is writing inscribed on the surface of each token stating: CANADA, RATION MEAT, VIANDE. All writing is rendered in capital letters. The words CANADA and RATION are positioned around the edges in an arcing orientation. The words MEAT and VIANDE are located in the center in a vertical orientation with MEAT on top, separated by the central hole. There is a small maple leaf on the left and right sides of the tokens located between the start and end of the words CANADA and RATION

These are significant as they provide insight onto the condition on the home front during the Second World War.
